Getting an emotional reaction.

Cookies and coffee. Miter saws and drill presses. Fruits and vegetables. They all have one thing in common: they don’t talk.

All kidding aside, a good product photo is a marriage of the technical and the artistic. It’s work and play. It takes patience and whimsy.

It also takes collaboration. Working with the incredible food stylist Habiba Sial (vegetable heart, “Peace”, grilled food) has yielded my favorite images.
